Spring is here!

Ellis is very into helping Lane and I out right now. Tonight she decided that she needed to help daddy plant the bushes in the front yard! Super cute, but do you notice anything strange?!?!...yep, those are her pj's. She was clean and ready for bed when we went to say night to daddy...she instantly saw the need for her help! I couldn't resist the photo op. Needless to say we changed pj's before going to bed.

Oma and Papa were here for a short visit last week and I got some great pics of what the girls have been up to lately. Audrey is still quite the 'ham!'

Ellis only wants to play with her babies. She takes them almost everywhere and insists that the baby not go alone...it must also have a diaper and two bottles (sometimes clothes too!) to keep it company! Papa patiently played 'babies' and amused Ellis by helping put a diaper on it.

Sweet Audrey discovered necklaces! She LOVES them. They have been hiding in our garage for a long time, but made a special appearance for a day. Audrey thoroughly enjoyed them while they lasted.

Other than that we have been busy with home improvement projects (with lots of 'help' mind you) and playing with two sweet girls! Oh, Ellis and Audrey attended their first carnival (make that mini carnival...think state fair on a microscopic level!) today in Carlsbad. Ellis rode the swings and the train (I told her it was the bus!..so she liked it well enough).

TRYING TO GET FIVE KIDDOS TO 1)EVEN GET CLOSE TO THE EASTER BUNNY, 2) STAY THERE, AND 3) LOOK IN THE GENERAL DIRECTION OF THE CAMERA IS NEXT TO IMPOSSIBLE! HERE ARE SOME SHOTS OF OUR ATTEMPT TO GET ALL THE KIDS PICS WITH THE EASTER BUNNY. WE DID NOT GET A PIC OF ALL THE KIDS TOGETHER, BUT WE DID HAVE LOTS OF FUN!

Where is Spring??

It has been super windy and chilly here lately so we have stayed in a lot. We just got back from visiting OK over Spring break and I thought I would share a few pics of what we have been up to the past couple of weeks! There are soo many cute ones, too many to post. The girls had so much fun and were so good the whole week. We have now officially said 'bye, bye' to the pacifiers. It ended up being much easier than I thought. The girls really haven't asked for them!

Audrey is quite the 'ham' lately. She is developing quite the personality. We are constantly laughing at her. She gets a big kick of being the center of attention.

Her first curlers! She was fascinated at watching Jen roll her hair...we will see what it looks like in the morning!

Well, the curlers didn't hold well in her hair, so she got curly pig tails...they definitely fit her personality right now.

Audrey LOVES to eat! Here are some pics so you will know just how much she loves food!

One of our favorite places to eat in OK is Lotinvilles. Audrey loved the bread and Tomato basil soup! Can you tell that she liked it??

Ellis is definitely growing up fast and imitating others around her. Lane and I laugh everyday at the random things she does...most she learned from me! Not sure if that is good or bad. Just this morning on our way out the door she told the dogs "house" (to summon them into their crate) and waved her arm just like I do. We cracked up!

Ellis is very into being a 'mommy.' She has to take a baby everywhere..and it has to have a bottle! She tries to dress them and diaper them too! It is too cute.

What we are up to... not much new to post except that Audrey is definitely walking! She is everywhere and really would prefer to run if she could just get her feet to go faster! It is so funny to watch her try to run. I don't have a picture of it, only video..although the picture wouldn't do it justice! She wants to be 'big' so she can hang with all the 'big' girls. Ellis is growing up so fast. She is talking more and saying new things everyday. Here are some pics of what we have been up to lately.

We have been having so much fun with our cousins. It is so much fun to watch all the girls play! Audrey playing with Alexa...they love each other!

Ellis and Abbey 'eating' pretend chips...they are going to get into so much trouble together!! The thought it was so funny that they were 'eating' on the bed.

So, this is our first post! Our other photo site was getting too big, so we decided to move over here. Just a few updates to share...Ellis is definitely two!..tantrums and all! She is really into bubbles, animals, and playing outside right now.



She also frequently 'fake' cries. I caught a picture of it the other day! It makes us laugh all the time.


Audrey is walking and learning new things everyday. We think she will be running before we know it. She 'talks' all the time and tries to say everything that we say. She wants to be 'big' like Ellis and her cousins. She gets really frustrated when she can't do something that they do. She always wants to be in the middle of whatever the big girls are doing!


Here she is trying to copy Ellis by crawling through the rock wall at the playground. "Hmmm..how am I going to do this?"
